About Ohara Koson

Japanese painter and woodblock print designer Ohara Koson was born Ohara Matao. Known for his kachō-e (bird-and-flower) designs, he used three different names during his prolific career — Ohara Hōson, Ohara Shōson, and Ohara Koson.
