One Note — One Heartbeat

Inspired by The Alan Parsons Project’s song Time

We met late in life,
on a snowy afternoon
full of dusty records.

You became
a second heartbeat
next to mine
in a room that needed
revisiting.

And suddenly
it was so clear—

Some goodbyes are like keys;
they are meant to open doors
to better hellos.
