Moonlight (1834) by Thomas Cole (1801–1848) — Oil on canvas

Do You Remember?

Do you remember that night
when we discovered that light
also creates the most beautiful darkness?
Do you remember
The atoms of silence—
the fullness in absence—

Do you remember?
